DH was just got hours cut at work.....

These past several months have been very trying for our family.

In Feb my DS(18) came back home with $5,000 in debt from living with his BF for less than 6 months. We helps DS to get loans so he could pay his debt and we took over paying his car insurance and cell phone. DS was working but had his hours cut in March and was laid-off 4/1. DS has not worked enough to get any benefits so he has applied everywhere with not luck.

DH was told Monday that he would be going to 15 hours a week so he enrolled in summer school because he gets paid to go to school from a program for Vets. Today at work they told him that he would only work 3 days next month.

We are OK for the short term but I am a planner and I am having a meltdown. We have already had one huge fight about how we should have never bought our house in Aug 2007. Well, we bought the house before we knew we were going to adopt DD. We found out in Sept 2007 thats he was born and then in Nov 2007 were told they were going to put her up for adoption and could we please take her. DH can not have kids so we jumped at the chance. We saved and paid for her adoption as things came due so everything was good. Fast forward to 2011 and we have daycare that we did not have and a larger house payment. I also wish that we had stayed in our old house but I can not change that now. DD1 will be a Senior in next year so we have Senior Pictures next month to pay for. I just called and had DD2 taked out of daycare for May to save $$$$. DD2 is working but will need to get more hours. DS needs to find a job. DH needs to figure out what to do short term and long term.

I know things will work out since I have been praying all week but I am realllllllly feeling stressed.

There is not point to this I just needed to get it out.

I am sorry.  I am huge worrier when it comes to money.  DH laughs at me because money issues always send me into a spiral.

PS-  If you aren't a Dave Ramsey fan but are open to learning good money lessons, check him out on the radio or website.  His good humor has helped me relax about money issues.

I struggle whenever a money issue comes up too!  I want to know exactly what is going to happen and how and when,etc.  Yes, adoption is slowly taking that out of me! :-)

It sounds like you guys have a lot going on!  I'm hoping that things will turn around quick.  I'm sorry that you are feeling so much stress!

Thanks to everyone. I can breath today but things are still not good. We are having a yard sale this weekend.....
