I can't seem to find a specific height limit-we have the Evenflo Truimph advance. Is there a specific-such as head within x inches of the top of the seat? The top of DS1's head is right at the top of the seat- he's 36in and 30lbs. I'm not looking to move him to a booster yet but I want to make sure the seat is still safe for him. But in the next few months I will be looking to purchase him a new seat and DS2 will take over the Triumph advance. Advice or suggestions?
Re: When is LO considered to have outgrown convrt. seat?
I don't know that seats specific height and weight limits (I'm sure a quick google would tell you), but regardless his ears need to be at least 1" below the top of the seat and the straps need to be at or above his shoulders.
Our DS1 is 37.5" and 32lbs and he still fits fine in the Roundabout 50 in my car, and we just moved him to the Britax Frontier in DHs car. I have to say that I really, really like the Frontier. I got it for around $200 and it's well worth the price. It will harness him until 85lbs (although I don't see DH using the harness that long) and after that it converts to a belt positioning booster. FWIW I tried him in a Nautilus but the crotch strap was going to be an issue, he was already practically sitting on it. I'll be shelling out the $$ for another Frontier when DS1 needs the Roundabout in my car.
I got mine from babycatalog.com but they seem to out of the.

I am planning on getting DD the Graco Nautilus when DS needs her seat. She is tall but skinny so I think it will be a while because she doesn't need the harness. My friend has had the Nautilus for over a yr now (her DS and my DD are 9 days apart) and has a boy and doesn't have problems with it and he is tall and solid. My tall skinny DD has used it a few times and hasn't had a problem. So that is our plan. SOrry not an exact answer.
