Today is our 5th year wedding anniversary. I didn't think we were exchanging gifts, but DH surprised me this morning. I'd like to give him something. Doesn't have to be fancy or necessarily gift-y if that makes any sense at all. I'm just terrible at thinking of these things. Any inspiration? Please?

One of the gifts (traditional? modern?) for the 5th anniversary is wood, so last year I got DH a personalized wooden frame with pics of us throughout the years. Even though there's no time to personalize, you could go buy a nice one somewhere. Or order one today and print out the pic of it.
Does he golf? Aren't there "woods" as far as golf clubs?
Plant a tree together in your back yard?
And then there's the obvious wood that every man wants on his anniversary.

Did you not see my massage suggestion?
Oh, you took the words right outta my mouth ;-)
I still think you should get him a kegerator - it's the gift that keeps on giving! :-) But since that isn't in the budget, and since you are in a time crunch, you can just make up a 'gift certificate' for something like 'tickets to a fun concert' or 'a romantic dinner for 2 plus massage' or 'tickets to an upcoming soccer match of your choosing' or something simple like a free pass for a night out with the guys.
My DH wants some Webber smoker computer thing. I don't know what it is, but I ordered it. My gift is not funny or exciting (to me) but it's what he wants! Plus I'm cleaning the bedroom, which he has been bugging me about
Oh and he is getting the "traditional wood gift" as well.
Re: Bad wife. DH gift ideas?
I wish. That is way out of the budget right now.

Isn't that, like, a standing rule when your husband buys you jewelry?

yeah, but I was thinking more about the presentation. Like you wrap up a couple of these for him:
And he's all, "uhhh, what's this?"
And you're all, "I read the 5th anniversary gift is wood." and then you go put 'em on.
It's a special day. Gotta take that extra step.
I was thinking more along the lines of the standard steak and a blow job.
