Old Navy - short vs Petite

What is the different in length between Old Navy's short and petite when it comes to jeans?  Which is shorter?  I am 5'4" and I think I typically get their short length but never realized that they had petite as well.

    Petite length is short. I'm 5'3" and I can't dry a pair I bought or theyll be high waters.

    OK thanks, I must have been buying the short length all these years and never really paid attention!  I have a pair of short length jeans being sent to me and I started second guessing which I should be getting.
