Handmade Cradle - how to find bedding

My father in law is a wonderful carpenter and made a beautiful cradle for our little one.  While my MIL bought a bassinet bedding set, it doesn't fit in the cradle (too small and the wrong shape).  So I'm wondering where I can find bedding that might fit the cradle.

 Of course, never mind our LO is almost 3 months and pretty much transitioning into her crib full time.  In our apartment we have a crib in her room, pack-n-play/bassinet in our room, a bassinet from a stroller that I use when I want to carry her from room to room (and pretty much have stopped using now that she's a little older) so even figuring out where to put the cradle has been difficult, so I'm not sure how much we'll use it.  Maybe I should just not worry about putting her in it, and use it for her overflowing stuffed animal collection  But I feel bad that my FIL took so much time to make this and I feel like I "have" to use it.  But then again, I'm not quite sure how safe it is.

My only other suggestion is to check out etsy.com and send one of the sellers th cradle measurements and have someone make the bedding for you. 

My parents had a handmade cradle for us when we were little- my dad's friend made it.  Seriously, it was the sturdiest piece of furniture that lasted forever!  I loved that thing, and always hoped I would be able to have it one day for my future little ones.  Unfortunately they had it stored in the basement and a flood ruined it recently

I remember amazon having cradle mattresses and bedding.  You may need to measure to find out which dimensions you are looking for--sometimes, you just cannot always get it perfect thought with each cradle.

We got a set like this from JC Penney's.  Um, I kinda which I would have just gotten a cradle sheet and a breathable cradle bumper instead, because we did not use the bumper and the quilt as much.

You may not want to bother, but we have a homemade cradle and my mom has made a few sheets for our cradle...that's always an option!
