2+ timers Breast Pump Opinion: Ameda Purely Yours

versus the Amdea Purely Yours Ultra.  So far the only difference I see is that fancy cooler bag, but what do I know?  Im thinking of picking the pump up today (15% discount, gift card, free shipping promo and 365 day return policy) at a pretty awesome discount but im just curious is there any real difference? Can I just go with the Purely Yours or would there be a reason to want the Ultra?

SURPRISE! Here comes #3!

Re: 2+ timers Breast Pump Opinion: Ameda Purely Yours

  • My pump-in-style lasted 13+ years through 3 babies. So I am a little biased. But,  usually, as with Medela pump in style and pump in style advance....you are just paying extra for little things that *may* be nice or a little more convenient....but that you could do without.

Seems to be the consensus in my research about buying original model vs. premium model. i am sure the Purely Yours is the same. (I would jump on the deal for the discount, free shipping and return policy)

  • It is my understanding that the only difference is the car charger and carry bag- and up[on ordering the Ultra I realized mine did not come with the car adapter. :( So go for the cheaper model...It's actually nice either way and compact enough to fit in any purse!

  • Ameda has a $50 rebate on their website right now too.  Just go to their site and print it off. This is the pump I am getting because it is closed system and has tons of rave reviews.

I'm just doing the purely yours.

  • I hated my Ameda. Did not use it at all with second child. It hurt my boobs when pumping.

I hope yours works better for you.   I ended up using a hand pump from Avent exclusively last time, and am going to try out the new Simplisse this time.  Thank goodness for reimbursement from FSA now.

The rebate is only on the ultra, gotta check the fine print.
