I had a friend when I was younger called Naoise, pronounced NEE-sha, an Irish name obviously.I quite like that though of course it wouldn't suit most people outside of Ireland!
I think Nissa sounds a bit lightweight if that makes sense. I like strong names for girls and this isn't. JMHO though.
I had a little girl in 2nd grade named Nissa and I LOVED the name (plus, she was adorable which probably made me like it even more). However, I did first want to call her Niss-ah before I knew it was Niece-ah.
I think it is a pretty name, but I know it isn't for everyone. When I posted this name a long time ago (when I was still TTC) a lot of people on TB said it reminded them of Nissan.
Re: WDYT of this name?
It sounds like a nickname.
And also makes me think of Narcissa Malfoy for some reason.

My friend names her daughter Nissa. I really dont' care for it, I think it is as a pp said, it is more of a nickname than a 'real' name.
