Pain when lying down.

For the last few nights i have been having pain "down there" when i lay down.  It is difficult for me to move after i lay down bc of the pain.  I have to take it easy for the 1st few mins after getting up bc it hurts to walk/move.  It eventually goes away but returns the min. i lay back down.  It is like a bruised type of feeling i guess you would say.  Very uncomfortable.  Anyone else experienced this?

  • Yes!! I didn't know if we were experiencing the same thing until you used the word bruised. This bruising feeling happens at night but stays with me a little during the day. It almost feels like you've been punched in the crotch over and over, right? I googled it and it most likely from the baby pushing on our cervix OR your body loosening up for child birth. I'm sorry this is happening to you but it makes me feel better that someone else is going through this and it's probably normal.

  • I just asked my doctor this yesterday and she said that it is just from the ligaments stretching. She said as the baby gets bigger it will turn into shooting pains. Can't wait!
  • Same as lbolin, my doc told me it's your pelvic muscles getting ready for birth. It hurts so bad, brings tears to my eyes at time. Main reason why I hate bed time. But, I also have SPD, so maybe I have it worse than some. My doctor also told me it's just gonna get worse. *Sigh*.
