If you had a c/s last time...

what did you wear for the following days in the hospital?  I wore a few jersey night gowns from Target, but they look terrible now 2 years later and I need some new options for this time.  I was in the hospital 4 days last time so I need a few options.  I remember not liking anything I brought that had pants (hurt too much) and I've found a few cute gowns at destination maternity, but they want $80 or so for the them and I'm not willing to spend that much.  Any suggestions?

  • I did the hospital gowns for the first day, and then I wore cheap nightgowns from target after that with a light weight robe. (I think honestly at one point I just had the hospital granny panties and a long nursing tank under the robe too.) Home I couldn't wear anything comfortably except some pj pants and a t-shirt

I wore the hospital gowns both time and will do the same this time!

I would wear 2 so that I was covered well (one facing forward and one backward).

I didn't put on clothes of my own until the last day or so and I had maternity lounge pants, maternity tank and zip-up hoodies.

  • I wore the hospital gowns and my own robe in the beginning, and then Target lounge pants and shirt that buttoned halfway down for nursing after. I don't remember what I went home in -- how pathetic is that?

  • I think I wore loose maternity comfy pants with nursing tanks if I remember correctly. I was there for 6 nights!!! (5 for the section, 1 for induction). But the first day where I wasnt mobile I wore the gown and that is what I wore to bed as it was easiest to nurse in.
