Changing Pads

I apologize if this is a dumb questions, but is there a "best" changing pad to get (the pads you put on top of your dresser to use as changing table)?  Or are they all pretty much the same as far as safety, durability, etc? 

There's not really any reviews I can see in the Baby Bargains book, and there's so many different brands/options out there, just not sure which one to get.

I bought mine online and went with a simmons contoured pad for I think $36. The back of it has cardboard in it, just like the cheaper ones. I say as long as it's waterproof, they seem to be created equally.

craigslist is great for things like this!  I bought mine from a lady that never used hers...$10 bucks!  Maybe I got really lucky...

This is the one I bought for the top of the changing table.  Honestly, though, I only use it when I change DD in the middle of the night, which is maybe once or twice.  Otherwise, I change her on blankets laid out on our family room floor, since we spend most of our day in that room versus in the nursery.

I went with the cheapest one I found - I found a certain brand on eBay that is 4 sided, which I liked, and it came with 4 covers (more than I ever need).

we got ours as a gift on our registry and we registered for the cheapest one at buybuybaby which is a cologate 2sided pad. i dont think you need to be to worried about the changing pad since they are there for a few seconds at a time and you are with them.
