Hey everyone, I have posted on the first tri board, but I don't think I've posted here yet. I think the answer to my question might be better answered here. I've noticed over the past couple of days the my wedding band is getting a little tight, so I started wondering: What do you do when your rings don't fit anymore? Do you get them re-sized so that you can wear them longer(or is that just a waste of time)? Do you just take them off and wear them again when they fit? I know this is a silly question, but I would still like to know what y'alls opinions are.

Last time my rings fit until the last month or so (even then I could have worn them, but I was nervous that if I really swelled up I'd have to cut them). So I bought a cheapo plain band to wear on my ring finger and wore my real rings on a chain around my neck until a few weeks post-partum.
Don't get them resized, your fingers will probably be normal again after you give birth.

I think I was around 18 weeks with DD that I had to take my rings off. I bought a big old fake set from Target and wore them. It took almost 3 months after delivering for my rings to fit again.
My rings are getting tight again, even though I'm starting off almost 20 lbs lighter but its the humidity that's killing me.
With my first I think I got it re-sized because I didn't think it had anything to do with pregnancy. But then I had to get it re-sized again after I had my baby.
With my second I took it off when it started to get a bit tight and DH bought me a plain white gold band with diamond chips to wear instead.
So for this one I've already taken my actual rings off and just wear my so called "pregnancy ring." Once this kid is born I'll get it re-sized so I can wear it not pregnant and will wear it on my right hand probably.
I took mine off at about 30 weeks last time. I had really bad carpel tunnel and my hands swelled up huge. I bought a cheap fake one to wear around once in awhile if I felt weird being pregnant without a ring!
I did have to get mine sized eventually because my hands didn't return to their normal size. I even got down 15 pounds under my prepregnancy weight and still needed my ring to be 1/2 size bigger than before. After about 2 months post I broke down and got it resized and it still fits.
I would say just take it off and get a fake until you know what size you will be post pregnancy.
I remember when my best friend had to take her's off - her grandmother threw a fit on her thinking she and her husband were separated and she was going to have to raise the baby by herself. She was actually yelling at her in the nursing home she was living in. My friend was crying because her grandmother refused to believe that she was swollen.
I went out and bought her a fake ring that day and she wore it for the rest of her pregnancy. We joked that I was her husband from that day on since I gave her the ring.
Anyway, my friend still has that ring and said it's in the box of maternity clothes she has for me so that when mine gets too tight I can just wear it.
