Well, I had to set up an induction for Monday. The good new is I made enough progress (1 cm and now 70% effaced, woohoo) that the OB said we can skip the cytotec and go right to the pitocin. I'm still crossing all my fingers and toes that baby decides to make an appearance before then!!!

Re: Induction Scheduled
Congrats (I think)... :-)
I have read that starting on pitocin (w/o cervical ripeners) you may not see an immediate response from your body and could likely not have much labor process at first. Since i'm in the same boat as you (I refuse cytotec and no cervical progress so far) - I have also asked my doctor to consider not breaking my water if we have to induce. He was going to start pitocin, break water and go from there. I told him I'd like to see if we can use pitocin at first - then back off - then use it again - then back off - - that seems to work for many people whose cervix is not ripe for labor. If he breaks the bag of water, then the option to up/down pitocin is not there and we're under a time crunch for delivery in x number of hours.
Good luck and keep us posted!!! I'm hoping you make LOTS of progress before Monday so none of this will even matter.
