After washing seven loads of tiny, pink clothes yesterday, I have discovered a few things...
1) NEVER wash flannel receiving blankets with anything besides other flannel receiving blankets... the fuzz is a nightmare.
2) NEVER wash terrycloth bibs or towels with anything besides other terrycloth bibs and towels of the SAME COLOR... pilling and fuzz ruin everything!
3) Make sure all velcro on bibs stays closed... not sure how to make this happen, but I'll figure it out eventually.
4) It is the goal of the washer/dryer/laundry basket team to eat or hide as many tiny socks and mittens as possible... use lingerie bag in the future.
5) Immediately remove little girl clothes from the dryer and hang them up, otherwise those cute little ruffles become a rumpled nasty mess that you have to iron.
6) Dryer lint for homes with little girls will from this point on always be pink and/or purple.
Re: Baby Laundry: Lessons Learned!
LOL at #6.
Re: #2....I always wash towels separately. I remember hearing that somewhere. Like, never wash sheets and towels together? So my towels always are separate. Maybe this is why!
This cracks me up - I noticed the same thing!
You're also supposed to wash towels in high heat! So you don't want that heat for some delicates... and baby clothes/accessories are pretty delicate.
just clicked Watch this Thread, thanks!
I haven't started baby laundry, I keep thinking I'm going to do it after I get caught up on OUR laundry. Which keeps not happening
THIS! Lol.

LOL It's very true. Esp. #6.
The laundry bags are fantastic for keeping little things together. Receiving blankets have never been an issue. But i found you have to make sure to open them up all the way and not wash them with a fold in them. They don't unfold in the wash.
I've always washed towels separately too - not sure why. I assumed it was because I am lazy and wait until we're down to one towel left and I have 2-3 loads of towels alone!
OP - thanks for the tips! I'll have to remember some of these in a few weeks!
