My DH and I are trying to pick out names for our newest addition...without much luck. We are having DD #2, and I am wondering if it is okay to have her middle name be the same as DD #1? I really like the name, but I don't know if it is weird for them to share a middle name or not. Opinions would be appreciated!
Re: Siblings with the same middle name?
My sister and I both share a middle name (after our aunt, although I don't know why). And we also shared the same initials: KEG. Haha maybe my parents were just playing a cruel joke on us
But in all seriousness I never thought twice about it. It's not something you say all the time and 95% of people will not know or remember your kids' middle names anyways. So I don't think it's weird.

I don't see a problem with it, esp if there is a significance or family connection behind it

In my husband's family it is tradition for the children to have their father's first name as their middle name. So it is not at all unusual to me for siblings to have the same middle name.
We broke this tradition because it would have resulted in our son's initials being A.S.S. lol
This made me think of George Foreman. Didn't he name all of his children George?
Yep. One of the reasons why George is a douche

I don't think its odd.
As a spin off my DH's first name is the his older brother's middle name. His parents didn't think they'd have another baby and when they did and it was a son for the third time, they used the 2nd oldests middle name as a first name because they both really liked it.
my sister has the same middle name which is also my mom's middle name
