I always see on shows like What Not to Wear, they talk about adding a "pop" of color with accessories. I'm a fairly plain jane kind of gal and most of my wardrobe is black/white/blue/grey. I have a super cute pair of red patent leather sling back peep hole shoes and I'm wondering if I can pair them with something like a black/white dress or maybe grey slacks w/ a black top? I mostly tend to stick to black shoes, but these were super cute and I couldn't resist, but now I don't know what to wear them with. It kind of seems silly to only wear them with a red dress or like my black w/ red pin stripe pants, I'd like to step out of the box a little
Re: Help the fashion challenged :)
You can definitely wear red shoes with black and gray. I think red shoes can look nice when paired with white or nude/beige correctly too.
FTR I would never wear red shoes with a red dress.
Yeah, I was thinking that would be overkill for sure. I actually just bought the red dress and so far have only worn it with black shoes. Though, I was thinking of investing in a cute pair of nude heels.

Yes nude with red is great. I love nude wedges in the summer, they look great with everything from casual to formal and really elongate your legs.
