How is that going for you?
I do 90% of my work at my desk in front of the computer. In the last week or so it has become completely unbearable to sit here! The baby must be all scrunched up or something when I'm sitting & typing and she jabs me in the ribs non-stop -- it's painful!
If I stand up to go pee she calms right down, but about 5 mins after I get back to work at my desk she's at it again.
As silly as it sounds, it is really interfering with my work. =(
And I hate to think that she's not comfortable in there.
Just curious if anyone else is having this problem, or if my daughter is just being particular about how I sit!

I should take a picture of how I sit at my desk sometimes, it's hialrious. If she's kicking me in the ribs (or sometimes I swear she has her feet hooked in there and she's swinging from them or something!) , stretching out is the only way to fix it. I will practically lay down in my chair, with my feet on a trashcan, and pull my laptop onto my belly and work reclined like that.
I also get up from my desk at least once an hour, I can't take more than that!
I work at a desk all day too, and it's driving me crazy as well. The mornings are okay, but by about 2pm, I am crabby and totally disengaged because I'm so uncomfortable sitting, and LO is up in my ribs (always on the right side too!)
I wish I only had a few weeks left, but I'm planning to work right up until the birth, to maximize the number of weeks I'll get paid during maternity leave. I'm trying to get up and walk around and stuff, but there's not really anywhere to go...
This is me exactly!! My feet are so sore/achy and swollen and I get no relief because I never have time to sit down and put my feet up! May 13th can not get here fast enough.
I've found that sitting on an exercise ball behind my desk (with the door partially closed so my colleagues won't think I'm a lunatic) is much more comfy than using my desk chair. I do a lot of reading at work and the exercise ball is suitable for that. Of course, for typing, I need to use my desk chair. I also try to get a 30-minute (or more) walk at lunchtime which seems to help. I was having back pain and had gotten a lumbar support pillow for my desk chair, but then started wearing a support belt and feel much better.
Good luck to you!
I am super uncomfortable at work - I get up and walk around a lot and I've just switched out my low foot rest (toner box) for a higher one. My LO is pretty active all day now, I don't think there's a difference in his activity if I am at my desk vs. at home on the couch. Although yesterday it did feel like he was trying to make a break for it right out my side but I don't think that was work related lol. : )
I hope it improves for you!!
same here. so far, so good.
my current "issues" are crazy heart burn/indigestion and starting to get some icky feet swelling....but neither of these has to do with me sitting at my desk since it happens regardless.
i'm sure it will get worse though....

Amen to this... my feet are HUGE by the time the day is over... I've reverted to cute flip flops... My male boss asked last week "I wish I could wear my flip flops to work?" I lifted my pant leg a bit and said "Do you wish you had these too?" (refferring to my super ankles) and he said "oh ok, got it!"
I am very happy that my feet have not gotten swollen yet so I can not tell you if this works or not but I got a box and I put my feet up on it when my legs get crampy. It is just a regular cardboard box, on the smaller side but maybe you could play around with sizes if you have some laying around at work.
