I was diagnosed with mild pre-e. Is there anyone else out there with this problem? I am currently 33w2d prego. What has your doc told you do? Do you have to get monitored 2x a week? Stop working? etc ... this is #2 for me and this is the first time dealing with pre-e.

Not this time, but last time I had it. I was on full bed rest as of 34wks and had a c-section at 37 & 3. (She was breech therefore no induction) What are your symptoms? Let me know if you have questions, I'd be happy to help! Smile

I was induced for pre-e at 34w5d with my twins. I wasn't diagnosed with mild pre-e before, but they were watching me closely because my BP was creeping up. The day I was diagnosed they made the appt for induction that night.

I was already having 3 appts a week at that point for growth restriction issues so they monitored the BP along with that.

Usually they tell you about what symptoms to call your doctor for and they tell you to take it easy or bedrest like pp said. I would definitely call your Dr or nurse if you aren't sure at all.

Not diagnosed. I have been monitored since week 26 when my blood pressure went up. Still no protein luckily. I'm keeping fingers crossed none appears and the BP stays at bay...

Oh, and I was already on bed rest for my short cervix but when the high BP was discovered my bed rest was firmly reinstated. Even if the cervix stuff wasn't as much of a concern now or if it never existed I would still currently be on bed rest because of the BP spike.

If it goes up higher or protein is discovered my OB will most likely deliver. That is the only "cure".

I have the protein in my urine but no high bp. I have already been diagnosed with pre-e and I have an appt tomorrow with my ob as a follow up from having to goto l&d to be monitored. I wanted to get a heads up on what to expect. I have received the steroid shot and 1cm dilated already being 33 wks. I have a history of preterm labor, my son was born at 36 wks due my water breaking and I had to be induced cause I was having no contractions. Thank ladies, I appreciate all the advice.

If your blood pressure isn't bad then you're probably less likely to get bed rest. With mine I had protein, high BP and swelling. I would just listen to the way your body is feeling (usually you can tell if your BP is really high) and watch for swelling in your hands and ankles. My ankles were ballooned so badly even when I kept them up for hours. Good luck at the appointment tomorrow and I hope you get more answers. Take it easy mama.

I have it and my doc said we will deliver at 37 weeks, if not before. I am a SAHM or he said that I would be off of work. My BP isn't that bad, and I haven protein in my urine but I have had protein there the whole pregnancy. He is watching my labs and they have been coming back fine.

I have a history of severe pre-e with two of my previous pregnanices so that is a huge concern and why we will deliver at 37 weeks. I have an incompetant cervix and wasn't even sure I would make it this far, so I am more than happy to be as far along as I am.

I had protein in my urine at my last appt. (Monday) so they made me redo it. They haven't called me back with results, I am kind of annoyed. My BP was 110/70 which is high for me - the bottom number is never over 60. They weren't as concerned about that, though. I have noticed some swelling in my ankles, but they didn't seem concerned about that either!

I put a call in yesterday to ask for my urinalysis results. I was planning on working up until I basically go into labor (I only get 5 weeks of maternity leave) so I am hoping it's not anything serious. If I had to go on bedrest, would that count against my 5 weeks of maternity leave?
