So I found out last week at my anatomy scan that I have complete placenta previa. My doctor said that I can maintain my normal activity, but no excessive exercise and no sex. That's it.
We are planning to drive down to Florida in June, taking 2 days to get there. My parents (both nurses) are giving me a hard time for not cancelling our family vacation. I know there is always that risk of hemorrhage, but if I wasn't supposed to travel, wouldn't my doctor tell me that?
Does anyone else have previa and your doctor said not to travel?
And while I have you, does complete previa cause a bit of pressure "down there". I feel way more pressure than I normally would this early in the pregnancy, so I wonder if it is related to the previa.
I figure I need to put a call into my doctor for clarification, but I was curious others in my position have been told.
