we don't have costco and so far all the reg. backpacks i've looked at don't have all the nice little pockets to put everything in. It'll drive me crazy to just throw everything in one big opening and have it all jumbled up.
Ours was around $75 (so I know it is a little more than you want to spend). However, we LOVE ours! Ours is the Dadgear backpack. It isn't very stylish, but it is so organized. I believe there are more colors available. We can fit a ton of stuff in there! It is definitley worth the extra you would spend. It is more organized and user-friendly than a standard backpack IMO.
There is another thought.... we also have an old laptop bag that we may end up using as a diaper bag also. It has TONS of pockets for organizing and three big internal pockets. Maybe look at office max or office depot/staples. They definately do not look like diaperbags.
If the house ain't burned down and the baby's fed it was a successful day.
Only thing I can think of is Bumble bags when they were on eco baby buys... it was $49.99 with free shipping. I am waiting for that sale to come back lol!
We registered for this one, based on seeing it in-store and then reading online reviews. DH and I both like that it doesn't really look like a diaper bag. I have an inside baby still, so I haven't actually used it, but I've loaded it up and it seems to hold a fair amount without being huge and bulky.
I can't personally recommend it, but my friend has the Colombia Trekster, I believe it's about that much at baby's r us. Also you can wait for the Jujube Packabe to go on sale at Baby Steals again. I saw a packabe IRL last weak and loved it!
thanks for the suggestiong, we've looked at a couple of those (mainly the ones at BRU) and I keep going back and forth on if they'd hold enough (I probably tend to over pack).
my DH suggested his ACU bag, except for the fact that he still uses it and I wasn't so sure I wouldn't get tired of carrying around an ACU backpack all the time. but after just looking at it again I think we might need to take a trip to the surplus store today and see what kind of military bags they have there (those things have tons of pockets to keep everything organized so i don't freak LOL!)
