Got a contract on a house!!!

We have a contract on a house in West Chester- now all the fun stuff!  Looks like I'll have a month before my due date to get settled, but since they don't expect little Mr. Man to stay put, (since his sister didn't and I've already had some contractions!)... I'm hoping I have at least 2 weeks to get settled before we have two babies and no time to work!!!

YAY!!! I'm going to have a home again!

  • Oh question for ya'll-

Uhm... trash pickup in West Chester???
It looks like from their website that they don't supply this.  Any provider recommendations?

Anything else I need to know?

  • I can't help with the trash pick-up question because (unfortunately) we live in a condo and it's included, but I wanted to say welcome to West Chester!  I've lived here for almost 7 years now and LOVE it!  Good luck with moving and I hope your little guy stays in long enough for you to get comfortable in your new digs!

  • Congrats on the contract!  We currently have Rumpke where we live and we haven't been too thrilled with them here lately so we're thinking about switching to CSI. Our neighbors just switched to CSI and are very satisfied.

  • Yay, hope you get some time to 'settle' before the baby arrives!

  • Congrats! You will love West Chester. My parents live in a neighborhood off Lesourdsville and Cin-Day road and it is teeming with kids. They love it. There is this awesome Christmas festival in the "old West Chester" area that we took Leah to. They even had ponies! There is also a Catholic church there, St. John's, that has a great festival in the summer, too. I know they use CSI for their trash instead of Rumpke and haven't had any complaints.

  • YAY!  Congrats!  I hope you are able to have everything moved before the baby arrives.  I grew up in West Chester and I loved it!

  • Congrats!  We also moved when I was eight months pregnant, so I can relate.  In hindsight it was kind of nice because I was so huge and miserable that I got out of a lot of the work.  :)

We used to have CSI, but they kept tacking on fuel surcharges and environmental fees, and those extra costs kept rising every single billing period.  There were also a couple times when they didn't pick up our trash, and when we called to complain they acted like it was no big deal that they had run behind that day and wouldn't get to our neighborhood until the next day.  We switched to Forest Green (a small local company) about a year ago and have been very happy with them.
