So, it was a little later than it was supposed to be (originally supposed to be at 11:45 a.m. my time and ended up at 5:30 p.m. my time), but he said he would make it up to my by getting me pregnant!  I'm going to hold him to that!

We went over all of the immune tests that I had completed and he thinks I have a real autoimmune issue that is likely causing the problem.  However, since I am on Humira for my autoimmune disease, there is a chance that the Humira could be the problem.  There is also a chance that the intralipids I was prescribed for my two cycles caused problems. 

So, he will be ordering a bunch of blood work for me.  I am supposed to get a call from Reprosource by Friday (Monday at the latest) to schedule blood draws.  He will be doing his full set of standard tests.  He will also be looking at my TNF-alpha levels (because Humira reduces these) and a test to see if I am on the correct dosage of Lovenox.  He said that the labs should be back within 2 weeks after they are drawn.  So, I will have a follow-up with him at that time.  That should bring us up to when I am starting Lupron for IVF #3.  He feels there is plenty of time to get things worked up, get a plan in place and start treatment for my May cycle.

He knows my RE (not well, but they have met) and doesn't think my RE will be willing to let him jointly manage my cycle.  So, we will likely treat my immune stuff on the side.  We just aren't really sure yet.  I guess it will partially depend on how everything is going.

~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

Me= 37 and DH = 41 

Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

IVF #6:  (New RE):  Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN

FET#1:  BFN

    He sounds super thorough and it sounds like you had a great consult!

    TTC in 2008. Stage II/III endo, Hashimotos hypothyroid, low morph (3%).
    2 cycles Clomid/Ovidrel/TI/Crinone=BFN.
    IUI #1 - 4 Follistim/Ovidrel/IUI/Crinone = BFN.
    IVF #1 - Antagonist w/ ICSI 4/10. 17 retrieved, 5DT of 2, BFN :(
    IVF #2 - Long Lupron w/ ICSI 6/10. 15 retrieved, 3DT of 2, BFFN!!
    Lap 7/21/10
    IVF #3 - Clomid/Antagonist w/ ICSI 10/10. 14 retreived, 3DT of 3, BFP 10/20 but m/c. No HB 11/15/10 - D&C 11/17/10.
    FET - 2 blasts, 1 survived the thaw. Transfer 2/19. Beta #1 3/1 375, Beta #2 3/3 885, Beta #3 3/8 4261, Beta #4 3/11 9005. U/S 3/8 1 sac 1 yolk, U/S 3/16 1 heartbeat 114bpm!

     

    James born Oct. 24th 2011 via c-section at 38 weeks!

    Glad you finally got to talk to him. I hope the add'l tests shed some light on your case. An he better keep his promise of getting you pregnant.
    TTC #1 since October 2008. Dealing with MFI.

    IVF #2.1 in Oct 2010 converted to IUI = BFN
    IVF #2.2 w ICSI in Dec 2010 = BFN
    Met with new RE in new city on 1/31/11.
    IVF #3 w ICSI in April 2011. HPT on 5/9 = BFP!
    Beta #1 on 5/10 (10dp5dt) = 99.4. Beta #2 on 5/12 = 284. First u/s on 5/26. = Fraternal TWINS!

    Dh seeing new MFI uro & Dh starting meds- June 2012.
    IVF #5 in Dec 2012 = BFFN.
    IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.

    He sounds on top of it.  I really hope that working with him (along with your RE) for ivf #3 will be the trick.  I'm really pulling for you babe!  You are so great and supportive, and I really want this to happen for you.  Can't wait!

    Sounds like a great consult!  I hope they can figure out what's going on with all that thorough testing.  I also hope that your RE will let him jointly manage the cycle.  Fingers crossed for you!

    This bums me out - assuming he's talking about your old RE.  I had a consult with him and it was horrible and I'm not a fan of him or his office.  I loved his brother as an ob but he is just...ugh.  And this makes me angry for you that he likely will not work together with Dr. B.  Booo.

    BUT!  So happy you were able to (finally) meet with him and get a plan.  Sounds like he has a lot of new tests to run on you, but its good to see he's checking for new things your current RE isn't necessarily concerned about.  Fingers are crossed for you....
