I have PCOS. I went to my obgyn and she gave me provera to induce my period (which worked) then clomid to start taking on day 3 of my period, for days 3-7 which i did. on day on day 11 of my cycle i started testing with opk's. On cycle day 15 and 9 days after my last clomid pill, i woke up at 6:30 am to use the bathroom. went back to bed. at 9 am i used the bathroom again too the clearblue opk and got a smiley face! I then took the test since then, as well as the one you urine on with the 2 lines and they have been coming back negative. did i get a false possitive? do i have a short lh surge and caught it on the way down? Hubby and I have been bd'ing just in case, but i get so confused. what if i didn't surge yet and we bd and i stop testing and i miss O'ing? i forgot to say that i am also taking metformin also.
Re: confused :(
ugh, i hear you!
i am basically in the same boat : PCOS, used provera, used Clomid
i had one day where i had 1 +OPK but then neg for the rest of the day
a few days later i then had another positive, but stayed positive for multiple obsessive POAS that day...........
i dont know if those are just false +from clomid, my gyn also said that if you have a higher baseline LH (with PCOS) that you can also get false +
then, when i went for my cd 21 b/w, my progesterone level was 7 which my gyn said meant that i did ovulate......
sorry, dont know if that was much help but at least you know that you aren't alone!
btw, good luck!

thank you so much! it does help to know that i am not alone!? did you ever figure out which one was right? if it was a false negative? my doc said that if i take the test when i am supposed to that taking the clomid shouldn't affect the results. ugh... now do i continue testing?
How long have you been trying thise btw?? good luck to you as well!
sorry for all the questions~
Are you not being monitored while doing your Clomid cycle? You should of had at least one ultrasound around CD 12 (and maybe another a few days later). Your Dr should of been able to tell you based on that roughly when you would ovulate. If you are not being monitored you should really find a new doctor. You are at a higher risks for cysts and also HOMs while on Clomid and therefore need close monitoring.
Good luck!
After more than 2 years of fertility treatments, FET did the trick!

The LH surge can definitely last less than 24 or less than 12 hours.

Also, if you were being properly monitored with vaginal ultrasounds to look at your ovaries, you would know for sure whether you ovulated. You would also be sure that you are not at risk for having triplets or more.

Baby N conceived after 1 miscarriage and more than 2 years of TTC. Diagnosis was low sperm count. We found success after 3 months of anastrozole to increase DH's testosterone and one IUI.
