I have PCOS. I went to my obgyn and she gave me provera to induce my period (which worked) then clomid to start taking on day 3 of my period, for days 3-7 which i did. on day on day 11 of my cycle i started testing with opk's. On cycle day 15 and 9 days after my last clomid pill, i woke up at 6:30 am to use the bathroom. went back to bed. at 9 am i used the bathroom again too the clearblue opk and got a smiley face! I then took the test since then, as well as the one you urine on with the 2 lines and they have been coming back negative. did i get a false possitive? do i have a short lh surge and caught it on the way down? Hubby and I have been bd'ing just in case, but i get so confused. what if i didn't surge yet and we bd and i stop testing and i miss O'ing? i forgot to say that i am also taking metformin also.
Re: opk
A surge is a surge, but is no indication of ovulation.
Mine usually lasts for 2 days, but most drs I've had treatments with don't recommend testing past your first +.
If you are taking Clomid, I hope you are being monitored properly with bloodwork and ultrasounds. I'm surprised that you're just doing kits at home. Clomid is not without it's own issues. Treatments should not be confusing. If you are not getting the information you need, I suggest seeing a specialist. See THIS POST.
Good luck.
