Oh and the reason why I decided on a pikolo is that I could use it from an infant to a toddler. But we also did get a moby wrap for when he is smaller as I would prefer to have that close contact with him at an early age.
I have no first-hand experience, but based on what research I've done. The Baby Bjorn is good because it can be used almost right away (I think 7 pounds up), but once baby is 15-20 pounds the Bjorn kills your back. I think at that point a lot of people switch to an Ergo, which you need an infant insert to use right away.
I had a friend give me an Bjorn, but I bought a Mei Tai by BabyHawk. It has great reviews and I really like that I can use it with a newborn and have the newborn curled up in it, but still upright without something between babies' legs. Most likely I'll use the Mei Tai and my husband will use the Bjorn.
And with the delivery trifecra of one twin vaginal, one c-section with general anesthesia for twin B, Spencer and Sidney joined us at 35 weeks exactly on June 18.
We have an Ergo Sport and it's awesome. DH is a big guy, 6'1 and 230lbs and he loves it too. Baby Steals had it for $57 a while back and we got it then!
Oh I also didn't use it when she was younger bc she was tiny and it was easy to hold her. Plus she slept a lot and we never really went anywhere, if we did, she would just sleep in the car seat. At home, she was fine sleeping without being held.
Wrap type carriers are best for newborns. They'll feel more secure and have the extra support that they need. I loved the Moby and thought it was very easy to use. When LO gets heavier, you'll probably want a more structured carrier like an Ergo or Beco. I really like the Ergo Sport and it was a great deal on babysteals. They've said that they will be having them again this week so you should watch for that if you're interested.
I would avoid Baby Bjorn. Most of their styles are "crotch danglers" which are bad for baby's hips and spine. They're also pretty uncomfortable for the wearer. You can get much better carriers for the same price or less.

We have ONLY used the Ergo Sport. We had the infant insert, and DD rode around on us for the majority of her first 4 months whenever we went out. It was perfect. We still use it for her and it's great.

I think it depends on he person and the baby. We loved the sleepy wrap in the newborn stage and the ergo starring at 4 months. I also love r
Maya ring sling. Maybe you could find a babywearing group to try different ones out?
Re: Baby Carrier...
It's really preference. We were debating between an ergo or a pikolo. We decided on the pikolo. Here's a website that helped me get educated https://www.becomingmamas.com/why-you-should-avoid-crotch-dangler-baby-carriers/

It's a personal choice mostly. My son personally only liked the Moby.
Just make sure the weight of the child is on his bum, not crotch like the above link!
