Remember that spinoff to Golden Girls with the guys next door, and one of them wanted a license plate that said Sea Lover, but it was too many letters so he got one that said CLOVER? and they picked at him because it was not such a great way to pick up chicks?

We have a family friend named Clover.  Mind you, she's an 80+ year old Jamaican woman, so I can't imagine anyone (certainly not a boy) with this name born in the past 40 years.

My mom did 4H as a kid, her calf was Clover, not so keen on it for a person, or even a boy. Not fond of it spelled incorrectly either!

HA!  It was in an Iowa newspaper.  (I can say that since I'm originally from there)  But the family lives in California.  Maybe he was named after a favorite cow or pig.

 Lol!!!  I just saw this episode of Empty Nest!  The Empty Nest family was the next door neighbor, and it was the raunchy cruise ship captain who did that to his license plate.

Thank you for validating my horrible memory. I couldn't remember the name of the show, but I remember the cheesy captain in his uniform.
