Second baby question...

When I was pregnant with H, I heard tons of advice about things we should do before we have kids. Travel, sleep in, go to movies, eat at nice restaurants, etc....

I was just thinking...is there anything we should be doing before we have #2? (no, I'm not pregnant, the question just popped into my head)

What can you do as a family of three that you either can't do or becomes much more difficult as a family of four or more?

I don't know how old your H is but for our family, my dd is 12 and I have one on the way. We are doing things like going to the SF Ballet, going to see Cats, and doing some other semi-grown up stuff that we won't be able to bring dd#2 to. I've been packing it all in in the last couple of months of the pregnancy so I can bond with my 12 year old and hubz before we have a crying infant

  Ditto.  It takes me a whole lot longer to get out the door....there are many days that I miss just being able to run into the grocery store with one kid in tow.  (Don't take it the wrong way...I'm not saying that I don't want Natalie....it's just harder.)

Ummm travel by plane. Just cuz eventually you have to pay for 2 more tickets!

For me, it was more having a baby again.  So easy to take a toddler/preschooler out, hardly even need a diaper bag!  But going back to planning outings around feedings, lots of diapers, diaper explosions.

One of the things that I wanted to do was to take a vacation with just the 3 of us. We didn't so anything major, just a few days in Monterey. We might do something else before this baby comes.

Thanks everyone....definitely need to plan a family vacation before we add another bambino.
