for super-active toddler?  I have no clue what to get.  Lucas is ALL over the place.  Running is his preferred mode of transportation and he loves to be outside.  Probably will be at the beach much of the summer.  Any advice?  Thanks so much!

I wanted Keens, but went with Timberland because they were half the price.  I got tired of poor DS having sweaty feet in his normal shoes.

DS has a pair of Keen Newport H2s.  They are great!!  He does everything in them!

Stride Rite makes great sandals that completely cover the foot so you don't have to worry about them stubbing their toes.

Another vote for Keens! DS has the Newport 2 sandal as well. I blew the $40ish bucks on them as my friend whose son has a pair told me they are indestructible and I can use them for the next kid You can try looking on 6pm.com as they have them for about half the regular price, but they never had his size every time I looked.

My BFF told me they were indestructible, too.  She recommended looking on ebay.  That's where I got mine.  I think I paid $20 w/ shipping & they were in great shape.
