Going to a diaper store!! Recommendations??? :)

I'm going to a diaper store this weekend to look at them in person:) What brands to you recommend?? I am looking to buy the AIO one size, and maybe some pre-folds for when he is a NB. Do I need a cover with a pre-fold?? I'm new;) Also how many brands would you reccomend starting out with?? lol I told my mom my intentions of cloth diapering yesterday expecting a 'wth! why?' response but she actually responded with 'you were cloth diapered when you were a baby for a while because disposables gave you diaper rash...' I had no idea, but she seems pretty in to it, which makes me even more excited!!! Thanks!!!

Keep in mind that one-size diapers aren't really one size- most babies need to be between 10-12lbs before these diapers will start fitting well. So you're smart to be looking at newborn options to start with. Prefolds and fitteds will need covers as they aren't waterproof.

Yes you need a cover with prefolds. I like prowraps for the newborn phase. They are cheap and work great. You will need something until about 10lbs then most OS should fit pretty good. I use pockets not AIO and like Bum Genius, Fuzzi Bunz, Rocky Mountain and Smartipants. I would try at least 2 different brands if not 3. fuzzi bunz (sized) fit my oldest really well but not so great on DD. BG have worked out really well for all 3 of mine.
