DD was born April 18th and the last two days by myself haven't been too bad. We're slowly developing a routine. I'm trying to still read to DS as much as possible, but what other things do you recommend to keep DS occupied? I prefer to not allow him to watch more than 30-45 minutes of TV a day. DD has been cluster feeding so I feel like I'm always tied up to my boppy nursing.
Thanks ladies!
Re: 2u2 no bad-so far!
Congrats
DD has a water table out on our back deck, that keeps her pretty occupied. And sometimes I put her in her high chair and give her some finger paints, that keeps her busy, too, but does require some clean-up after. She'd do that for an hour, though.
When I'm feeding DD and DS wants to play, we sing songs a lot. I'll put on a kid's cd and sing to him. We also do a lot of homemade toys-I'll give him a wooden spoon with a plastic bowl and he will have hours of fun playing with that.
He also likes things he can shake that make noise-we did easter eggs with large jellybeans. He has a fascination with the vacuum hose as well, so I let him have that and walk around the house with. Lastly, our dog does a lot of "babysitting", lol he loves to chase the dog around and play with him.
