I hate my job...

The new girl my boss hired to take my place walks in my office today and says... "Wow, you really look like crap today." 

Um, thanks a lot? Like did you really just say that to a pregnant woman? I swear, people do not think before they speak. I'm 33w 2d pregnant and the last thing I'm worried about is my appearance. I work in an office and never, ever see people during the day (except the ones I work with) so why try to look good? I have no one to impress?!

Also, she asks me... "So you're going to have your phone on you in the hospital in case I need your help with something right?" I said, "Um, NOPE! My company phone will be off the entire time I'm at the hospital and the entire time I'm on leave."

What they don't know is that I'm not planning on coming back. I'm not telling them just yet.

The temp they hired for my replacement keeps saying stupid thing to me too.  Last week she told me, "I'm going to figure out what you're having before you have it."  Really???  Good for you.  I told her that if it has a penis, it's a boy.  If it has a vagina, it's a girl.  Then she kind of got the hint.  She has also told me probably 5 times that I'm getting bigger.  I finally told her last week, same day as the sex guessing, that I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I am not getting any smaller and I wouldn't trade my weight gaine for any second of my pregnancy.  Ugh!  People have been really good with me until this lady and I've only known her for 3 weeks.

Sorry for taking over your post, but I totally feel you on this one.

Sorry to hear about your morning. I have really noticed throughout this experience how rude people can be to pregnant women. Well maybe not rude but not sensitive. My mother in law and father in law tell me everytime i see them that I am getting so big. THANKS for the reminder. Maybe saying it a different way like, the baby is getting bigger would be a little nicer.....
Anyway hang in there, how many more days do you have left of work??

One, who the f walks into ANYONE's office and tells them they look like crap?!  Especially a pregnant woman... She's an idiot!

And two, does she not see there's a reason she is working at the same time as you for over a month?  It's definitely not because your boss wants to pay two people to do the same job.. it's probably to train her so that she wont have to call you.  And how old is the girl, even at 18 I knew that I wouldn't be calling someone just minutes after they gave birth to discuss work..  Again, Idiot!

You're almost out of there!  For good too!!

The comments some people make!  Last weekend i went out to lunch with my hubby's family and i wasn't feeling well...I told them that I was a little tired and my MIL was like "oh poor you, don't eat more than you want..."and other nice things...but my BIL says "yeah you LOOK tired"...ugh...I know I said I was tired but did you have to prove to me that I still look like crap even though I tried to make myself look presentable for lunch?

And the comment PP mentioned about getting bigger...what do people think is going to happen, we're going to suddenly start shrinking?!?!?
