Crib Safety

Can anyone tell if the slats on this crib are close enough together?  I am getting this crib from a friend, and I forgot to measure.  I think the Crib is a Simmons crib that was purchased from PB around 2003.

It's a little hard to tell from the pic, but I heard that your not supposed to be able to fit a pop can through the slats, if you have any on hand to test it.

It is a drop side so it has probably been recalled. I wouldn't use it.
