I go back to work tomorrow and I'm dreading it. I teach 7 grade 12:1:1 and even though I left specific plans I don't think the sub followed them. Her plans in the book have no detail, she completely switched reading programs and the principal wants me using the new one know, and I don't think she graded/returned any of the students work the whole time she was there. It doesn;t help knowing my position ws eliminated so I'm hoing back for 8 weeks and then done. I walked in the door after being there for a while and the first words out of DHs mouth was "You brought work home already?" I think I would have punched him if he wasn't holding LO.

Re: Work vent
I'm so sorry you had such a horrible first day back at work. I hope that tomorrow is a better one.
In the meantime maybe some snuggles with your LO will cheer you up

I'm dreading going back to work, too. I teach high school foreign language, and I've had a great sub so far. However, she isn't able to finish out my maternity leave. I have 4 weeks left, and she is only going to be working through this week. So that means I'll have three weeks with some random teaching my classes. I don't know if I'll be able to get someone who actually speaks the language to be the sub, and I'm not even sure what I'm supposed to do to get a new sub. I can't access the sub system while I'm out - I can't even access my email! This whole thing is really frustrating, and I'm feeling stressed about it now. My only solace is that I'll only have to go back for 3.5 weeks.
I hope things go okay for you. I'm sorry your position is being eliminated, that totally sucks.
