mommys with LO's who have dentinogenesis imperfecta

Hi, my boyfriend has dentinogenesis imperfecta and I was trying to find more information on when we might know if our daughter has it or not. Were there any tests that any one had done? I don't know if this was the best board to post on but I figured mothers with older children who have it could maybe help.

Dr. Google says it can be diagnosed with the first tooth...? Don't know how accurate it is, but now you have me interested...Aditya has almost translucent teeth, too...hmmm...

I would XP this on Parenting.  I'm pretty sure there are a couple of people there whose kids have this.

XP this on the special needs board. I post over there frequently and I am almost positive I have seen other mom's post about this and other variations of OI.

My sister has this.  She wasn't diagnosed until she was 12-13 years old.  She didn't have any specific tests done - although, I was young too so I could be wrong.

Not exactly the same but DD has OI (DH does, too) - Type 1.  She was diagnosed just by meeting with a Genetics professional within our HMO - He was able to tell by looking at her (blue sclera) and confirmed with a blood test.
