Two Under 2

WW question

I did WW after I had my first and now am trying to start up again after having LO #2. Just had a few ? about it to jog my memory.

Nursing gets you 10 points per day right?

Also veggies are 0 points? What about fruit?

 TIA!

Re: WW question

  • The points system changed in Jan. to points plus. You now get more points than before but the food is all high points as well. Most fruits/veggies are zero (Corn, avacados, potatoes all count as points). You do get extra points for breastfeeding but I don't know if its 10.

I just lost 27.5# with WW but now found out i'm about to be gaining it all back....

  • Like PP said, it depends on whether you are going to by the old Points system or the new Points Plus system.

I was a Lifetime member on Points so when I had DS I went back to that system.  I journal my food (and use my old calculator and books for points) and weigh myself 2x per week at home (DH is my "weigher" to keep me accountable).  After going to meetings for years I don't get much out of them anymore.  And I wasn't in the mood to learn a whole new system when the old one worked great for me over the years.

On old Points, most veggies (green veggies) are 0 points.  Starchy veggies like corn have a points value (1 point for a medium size ear of corn for example).  Fruits also have a points value depending on how much you eat.

On the new Points Plus I understand that fruits and veggies are always 0.  But most foods have gone up in points so it all evens out in the end.

My advice for you would be to look on ebay for books and literature so that you can have a reference.  Also, www.dwlz.com has Points values for hundreds of restaurants.  It is much more comprehensive than the old "Dining Out" guides that WW has (I hate that book - it is all fast food which I never eat).
