What to do in Philly w/ baby

Hi everyone I will be in Philly for a day this week as my 2month old and I are going to tag along with DH for a conference he has to attend - any suggestions on things to do for the day with a 2 month old? Decent malls or outlets? Any suggestions on areas to walk around or visit? We will have about 8 hours to kill! Thanks =)

  • I would recommend shopping on Walnut Street between Broad and 19th.  Spend some time in the park at Rittenhouse Square if the weather is nice. The Shops at Liberty Place is a small indoor shopping area with a decent food court.

I would definitely stay away from the only mall in the city, The Gallery.  There are no shops worth noting, and it is mostly a gathering place for the homeless and kids cutting school.

Franklin Square is a great place to visit, although a 2 month old might be a bit young, it's still worth checking out. Plus a lot of shops/boutiques in the Old City area.  https://historicphiladelphia.org/day/franklin-square/

  • We usually take our LO to walk on South Street (during the day--- not kid friendly at night) and then across to Penn's Landing to walk on the water and look at the ships.

  • Rittenhouse Square, Old City (my personal fave)... no malls or outlets in the city, sorry!  Lots of shops in both areas, though.  You could go up to NOrthern Liberties, too.  Lots of cafes and little shops and a great park at 2nd and Poplar (Liberty Lands)
