Success after IF

Anyone have or had Crocs for toddlers?

I was thinking about buying a pair and when I mentioned it to my mom she told me I was crazy and there would be no way he could walk in them (??). She of course is old school, hard ankle boot type of woman though.

So if you had them, did your LO have issues walking with them and keeping them on their feet?

They will just be for the beach and back yard, not planning on walking a mile with him in them =)

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • I just bought a pair for Henry. He's only worn them once around the house just to try them out, but he had no problems at all walking in them.

  • I have a pair for Hayden and while he hasn't really worn them outside yet, I have let him wear them around the house and he hasn't had any trouble walking in them.

  • They will be great for what you are using them for. Lil kids love them and they are easy for them to put on and take off.
  • We have a similar pair from Childrens Place (though they seem a bit more supportive) and DS walks fine in them.

  • Sean wore them all last summer, beach and all, and never had any problems walking in them. The heal strap is a must, but they do stay on the feet.

  • We got DS his first pair at about 18 mos and he didn't have issues.  We've gotten them every summer since.  This year we got the Crocband ones, which I think are pretty cute.

  • My daughter has had them the past 2 summers...she wore them the whole summer when she turned one.  She never had a hard time walking in them...I don't think there is anything about them that would make walking hard.  They are great because she can put them on and off by herself and they can get dirty and wet and wash easily... love them.  My girls just got some in their baskets yesterday :)

  • DD has worn crocs for the last 2 summers. They work well-she walks in them fine and is able to put on/take off herself. Only in the last couple weeks have I noticed them "catching" and she falls, but have never had this problem before. I think it's b/c they are on the small side for her (but that's just my theory).

DS1 has been wearing them since he was 2.....no problems and he lives in them during the spring/summer!

I am going to buy a pair for DS2 for this summer. I wasn't sure about him yet (he is 18 months.......), but he put on an old pair of DS1's and was doing fine in them, so I'm going to get him a pair as well.

I love, love them :) SO easy to get on and off and they clean up really well.

  • I thought the same thing as your mom but it was totally not the case.  I bought her a pair that fit perfectly last year and they were great. I bought them at the beach after a half day of constantly cleaning out sand from her sandals.  They were great for the beach and just as good when we got home.

Unfortunately, their sizing is weird and then only come in 4-5 and 6-7 (I guess we need a 5-6) so the 6-7s are just too big and I do worry she wouldn't really be able to walk in them so I passed this time around but if her feet grow this summer and the fit is right I will definitely go wiht them again.

  • Oliver is not great at gross motor skills.  He has trouble walking in good shoes some days!  But after about half an hour in his crocs he was fine.  He has no more issues in them than any other shoes.

(Although, like you they are to wear in the back yard and around the house.  He doesn't even wear them running errands or anything.)
