When to find out?

We have our next Dr's appointment this Friday and she'll give us the papers to make our next ultrasound appointment and to find out the sex.

I've read that you can find out anywhere from 16-18 weeks and other places say 20 weeks. I was planning to wait until 11/21 to schedule the ultrasound, but if we can find out earlier, then I'm for it. The reason I'd want to wait it just to give our little guy or girl a chance to get a little bigger in hopes of getting a clear view...

we actually found out at 13 wks.  I was getting monthly u/s and it was confirmed again at the NT scan.

I found out at 20 weeks. My dr's wouldn't do it any other time b/c they do all the measurements, etc. I would wait until 18 weeks, although there are a lot of girls on here who found out early (12-14 weeks). Well I think that's early, might be more common than I think.

We went to  a 4D place at almost 16 weeks and found out.  My big U/S at my Dr's was at 18 weeks but I couldn't wait.  And I'm glad we went to the 4d place because at the 18 week U/S she kept her legs tightly closed and we couldn't see anything.  So we had to wait for the confirmation till 22 weeks!

The medical one is done usually between 18 and 20 weeks, but I went to a place in Costa Mesa at like 15 weeks and found out. It's called ultrasound me and it's like $25 so it was worth it.

13 weeks.  I was getting u/s every other week.

We found out with both babies at the 12 week NT scan. I think you need to ask them to tell you, because I have had 2 friends who didn't ask and the techs didn't tell...

I found out at 20 weeks kind off. I had a boy and she wasn't sure...go figure. I did need to ask. She wasn't going to tell.

 I had an 3-d ultrasound done at 27 weeks to confirm, and yet still he was not obliging so much.

 I had my C-section thinking 80% boy, but 20% girl.

Right around 19 weeks.  I had an NT scan at about 12-13 weeks, but I think it was a little early to tell for sure then.

I also found out at 13 weeks, and the tech confirmed it is a girl at the NT scan.
