Body Supports and Newborn Inserts in carseats

My carseat comes with a newborn insert (Chicco Keyfit 30) and we also now have a JJ Cole body support as well.  Dumb question, but do I really need both of these or is it a one or the other type of deal?

  • Use the one that came with the car seat. Anything else will viod your warrenty and could be unsafe.

  • Same as PP.  We have a chicco and the inserts that come with it are plenty.
  • Yes, use what came with your carseat.  I believe the hospital had us roll receiving blankets to prop up DD when she was teeny tiny.

My mom tried to push the Snuzzler on us to use in the carseat and I had to reminder her it was inappropriate there.  We used it in the stroller to keep DD super warm in the winter.

  • We brought home a 5lb baby in the Chicco Keyfit 30 and the newborn insert was plenty. He did look sooo tiny in the seat though!
