I am thoroughly disappointed with the classes offered by Arlington county.
The only weekday classes are at at 6:30pm or 7:05pm--wtf? Almost every toddler I know goes to bed by 8pm at the latest (mine happens to go to bed between 7 and 7:30). I am guessing that they are trying to accommodate working parents, which is great, but I can't imagine what a nightmare it would be to work all day, pick your (tired) toddler up from daycare, try to get them to eat dinner (let alone make dinner), then get changed and ready for a swim class.
And even though I'm not actually going to be working, I am still not going to drag my child to a swim class that's at his bedtime. (they do offer weekend classes, but this time of year we often go out of town on the weekend)
Okay, rant over. Anyone take lessons anywhere else that they liked?
Re: toddler swim class recs?
Might be a little far for you, but Reston Community Center offers classes during the day.
They are all in the mornings between 9-11am I think.
This is at the indoor pool.
hey hey,
I decided to jump on this thing.. I wish you lived in MD. They have so many acquatic centers here!
