where can i find witch hazel?

so ive heard that some frozen pads soaked in witch hazel are supposed to be soothing for post partum swelling. i went to a local health food grocery store that has a big homeopathic section. all i could find was astringent with witch hazl in it. it had fourteen percent alcohol, which doesnt sound like something i want to put on healing tissue. what am i supposed to look for and where can i find it?

Tucks has it in them and you can get generic for pretty cheap.

Any pharmacy.. CVS, Riteaid, Walgreens, Walmart, Sally's beauty supply.

It's a bottle similar to isopropyl alcohol.

I don't think the alcohol is necessarily a problem - Tucks pads have both witch hazel and alcohol in them and they're used to soothe hemorrhoids and for vaginal care. I know CVS has generic Tucks and I'm sure other places like Target and so forth do too.

We got a bottle of it in the pharmacy section of Target, near the rubbing alcohol.

So, it's ok if it has alcohol in it? Does it freeze ok? I just don't want any surprise stinging, ha ha.

I would smell it first and if it has a strong alcohol scent then don't use it on your lady parts, just use it as a face cleanser. Or try it on a cut before trying it on your lady parts.
