We ordered a recliner/rocker for LO. The upholstered one but DH best friend offered us his traditional glider which we figured could go in the nursery and we will put the new one downstairs where we will spend most of our time. We like the cushion color but the wood on it is cherry and our nursery furniture is espresso. What do you think?

i DONT want to come off sounding pretentious, but I am an interior designer and there are a few rules with wood. Cherry wood, can actually be stained espresso, so it first depends on the wood grain. If it is very grainy espresso wood like oak, it may clash with the very smooth grain of cherry.
If your espresso has kind of a reddish tint to it, it will be fine with cherry. Cherry will be lighter, but unless you want your room to look like you bought everything off a showroom floor it should be fine.
Most people like to vary their stains, and grains, it gives it more of an eclectic feel and looks like you have had the pieces for more than a week. Hope this helps.
