It's shorthand for Aspirin. I suppose I would say "Ace-ah" if I saw it as a name, but otherwise, it's just Aspirin.

If it's a female name, it's pronouned like this. I went to school with a girl named Asa and she said it was pronounced this way. It's a Swedish or Eastern European name I think.

The biblical Asa is a male name pronounced "Ay-sa".

I know many with this name and they all pronounce it "Ah-Shaw" Its a beautiful name. The "sa" make the shaw sound... much like Sade (the musician) says her name... "Shaw-day"

This is exactly what I was thinking, it was the first thing that came to mind. I've only heard it pronounced like this.
