Joovy Scooter?

Does anyone have one?  Do you like it?  One thing I think I like is that it can hold an infant seat.  I feel like I wouldn't need a snap n' go AND a stroller.

Any one have info on this?  Thank you in advance!!!

Re: Joovy Scooter?

  • I don't have one (sorry) but I did test one out the other day and I really liked it. Its in my top 3 list because its so functional, ligthweight and nice. Plus the price is pretty great too! The basket was really nice. I would love to see what other people have to say.

  • I don't have one but I have a Kooper and love it. I think if the Scoter was available when I was looking I would have gotten it for the infant seat compatibility. The only downside is that the handle is not height adjustable so if you or s/o are very tall it may be an issue. Their customer service is awesome as well!

  • I just recently got one.  I've only used it a few times because ours was damaged when we got it and Joovy is sending us a new one.  I'm coming from using the Baby Trend SnapNgo (which I LOVE LOVE LOVE) so I'm having a bit of trouble with the transition.

It's not as light as the SNG, but that's to be expected.  The damaged part on ours was that the front right wheel doesn't touch the ground at all.  I'm hoping that the frame is bent or something and that's what's causing the wheel problem and the other problem I have: the fold.  I can not fold the thing.  My husband is a mechanic and it even took him a few minutes to get the groove of the fold.  It is definitely a two handed fold and you have to have two very strong hands, IMO.  I tried for an hour (and bruised my fingers) trying to get the thing to fold.  No dice.

Joovy said it shouldn't be that hard to fold, so that's why I'm hoping that it's just a damaged model or something.  Hopefully the next one will be easier to fold or it's going back asap.  If this one doesn't work out, I might just break down and get the BJ City Mini.  I love the cupholder, infant seat attachment and basket on the Scooter, but I NEED to be able to fold the stroller 100% of the time.

If you want to check it out, I posted pictures of ours on my blog (link in siggy) and pictures of DD in it.  FWIW, she seems perfectly happy and comfortable in it and loved propping her feet up on the belly bar.

Thanks!  I'm kind of worried about the car seat tearing up the bumper bar, but I'm sure I could rig some kind of sleeve cover to protect it.  I hope your new one works out!    : )
  • I haven't actually looked this closely yet, but I think you can take the cover off of the bumper bar (which is also handy so you can wash it after baby slobbers all over it).
