question for those with the angel care monitor

I finally opened up the box and am starting to charge everything.  My nursery only has one electrical outet located on the other side of the room from the crib.  I may not use the movement monitor now because of the wire looking tacky and causing someone to trip, there will be extension cords all over the place.

Can I use this system without utilizing the sensor pad?  I know it defeats the purpose of the Angel Care system, but I can use the sound and temp features.  Has anyone done this?

Yes, you can use it without the sensor pad.  You'll just have to look over the directions on how to set up the monitor.  We haven't removed the sensor pad yet so I'm not sure how to do it.

Yes you can.  There should be an option on the child unit to just use sound.
