success using google alerts to do automated Craigslist searches?

Hi all--I'm not a regular on this board so apologies if this question has been posted already: I am trying to get some of my bigger-ticket items on Craigslist (strollers, ergo, some furniture) and since I have several months to look I am still holding out for specific brands in hopes that they will pop up. After searching Craigslist in my area for a few days, I made Google alerts that are supposed to email me daily with links to every posting that includes my search terms (which are just 'craigslist', the area where I'm living so I only get stuff from my board, and the brand name I'm looking for). The first day it worked great but since then it hasn't sent me anything (even though I have gone back and checked to confirm that items matching my list were posted). If anyone has used this strategy, do you have any suggestions?

I use notifinder.com - try that, hopefully it works (and it's super easy).  I've never used the google alert though.
