Hi everyone! I just found out I was expecting a few weeks ago and today I'm 8wks 1 day. I will be going back to work after baby is born and am hoping you all can provide some reccommendations for daycare centers in the Oakley/Hyde Park/East Walnut Hills area, or downtown since that is where both my husband and I work. We aren't particular yet on type of place (in-home or center) or really have any idea on costs. So truly any help is appreciated!
So my question is, how early do we need to start looking and getting on a waitlist? I'm thinking I would go back to work by mid to end of March.
I hope to stick around here for awhile now!
Re: Daycare Recs & a question
I'm currently sending my daughter to CELC in East Walnut hills and love love love it. We sent her to Hyde Park Play School for a bit and it wasn't bad, but it just wasn't as nice as CELC. So when a spot opened up there, we jumped on it. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. I'll send you a PM with my email.
And, I'd get on waiting lists as soon as possible.
Congratulations!!! I send my DD to a daycare center downtown (Childtime at Walnut) and get to see her everyday at lunch and I love it. There are also a couple centers across the river in Newport, that I never checked out but know that a few people from work send their children. I would think they would be worth checking out.
Mag2 - I need to ask you about Celac for preschool because I might switch when dd is older (and maybe I can get on the waiting list for that!).
I'm glad you responded since you know some downtown sites that I don't! As for the preschool waiting list, I would say the sooner the better probably. I'm pretty sure they have a waiting list for every room.
That would be a good location for us too. My husband is at fountain square and I'm at 7th and Vine. If you don't mind me asking how much is that center per week?
The exact location of the center is 3rd & Vine - very close to fountain square. On nice days, I take her to fountain square in a carrier or stroller.
The cost is 237.00 per week. I know that the Newport centers are cheaper but don't know exactly how much or what they're like.
