If you had a vaginal birth...

Did you deliver Baby #1, then that baby's placenta, then Baby #2, then that baby's placenta?  Or did you deliver both babies and then their placentas?  I'm not sure why but I've been curious about this all of a sudden.

  • 1 then 2 then the placenta....because they shared one!! Which by the looks of the ultrasound in your siggy, I think you may be in the same boat.

  • I delivered both babies, then the placentas at once.  So I had two umbilical cords hanging out....kinda weird, I thought..

  • Baby A, Baby B, and then the placentas. I don't know what order the placentas came in, but I assume it was A then B.

That line is the sac.  I had 2 placentas so I know that they aren't easily identifiable on just 1 u/s shot.

  • Baby A, baby B, placenta (came out as one- they said they were di/di so that would mean they fused. Baby A cord was hanging out while baby b was coming out.

  • Baby A, Baby B, and then both placentas. They seemed to come out together to me.

You are correct - our babies have their own placentas and that line in the ultrasound picture is where they are seperated.

  • I did baby A, then baby B then one placenta at a time. Very odd feeling!
