Ultrasound Photo question

This is a pretty random question... but did your US technician have a tough time getting a photo for you of both babies in one shot?? I asked my tech if he could and he said it was too difficult! The only shot he could get was of the tops of their heads and that isn't all that exciting to me! lol... YET in some of my shots of Baby B I can clearly see baby A's body parts in there... so I'm not sure what the trouble is!

Re: Ultrasound Photo question

  • I don't have an answer to this, as I only had one US so far around 8 weeks..

But even for singletons, as the baby gets bigger it's harder to get the whole baby in the picture, it only makes sense that two babies growing is difficult to get in one shot lol.

  • I was in such shock during my first one I didn't ask then they kept getting bigger. I am still in shock that I have 2 ( at one time). Never did get a good one of them together.

  • After 8 weeks it got harder and harder to get them in one shot. The U/s tech always tries but the picture is always really bad (like the foot of one baby and the top of the others head). I guess they can only "zoom out" so far!

  • It's definitely been harder since the first tri to get them both in there.  Ours are both head down and at the last ultrasound (29 weeks/Monday) we couldn't even get their heads together. We've gotten some pictures where you can see the body part of one baby in another baby's shot, but not both babies together.
  • 9 weeks was the last time they got my girls in the same pic.
  • I was wondering the same thing.  I havent had one with both of them since my very first "gummy bear" ultrasound. lol

  • We only got them in the same shot early on. After that we didn't even try. It was too difficult and they were getting pretty big.

  • I have LOTS of pics of the tops of both of their heads, that's it!  :(  Too crowded in there I guess, other then my 7 week pic where you can see both sacs and a little white dot in the middle!

  • The last one I have that kinda shows both of them was from a 3d ultrasound at 28 weeks and it is H's face and her hand on C's head. That's about as good as it gets lol. Then of course I have the one with their two heads which just two circles from about 16 weeks.

  • awwe... so I am probably out of luck then! He didnt give me any (aside from the one where he was recording one babies heartrate and their heads are both in the picture... And that was at 12 w 5 days or so...Now I guess I missed the boat!
  • No comment on the ultrasound, but....
