Hello!!!
So, after my BFFN this cycle, I have talked to the nurse. She said we could do 2 more cycles of Clomid, or move on injectibles if I want to me more aggressive.
I realize everyone responds differently and uses different injects, but I am wondering a ball park of what it would cost for the meds. I have insurance, but NOTHING even remotely close to IF is covered, so we are completely OOP for our IF costs.
I did respond well to clomid, this cycle I had an 18.5 and 19.5 follie the day I triggered.
TIA!

The actual IUI and sperm washing at my clinic is $375.
Each ultrasound for monitoring and baseline is $200. Bloodwork is usually $90 for each monitoring appointment and I think around $200 for baseline (I could be a bit off, my insurance does cover this). (I usually had 2-3 monitoring appointments, not including baseline.)
My Follistim was always around $1,700 and my Menopur was $1,400. My hCG was $100 and my progesetone supps were $60.
So...that would be a grand total of $4615...

I think it's really going to depend on how much in medication you will need. I am a decently good responder and I went through about 1350iu of Gonal-F. I think that's about $1150 worth of drugs. Each monitoring appointment for me was $110. The IUI itself was $260. Bloodwork each time was $75 (for each monitoring appointments, the beta, and the progesterone check).
That's a total of roughly: $2595 (for 5 monitoring appointments and one baseline appointment).

Thanks for the insight and info!!!
I am not sure if we will move on yet to injects, femara, or stay on Clomid. But now I know how much I need in the bank, and that helps my decision immensely.
