might have to put the bumpers back on

I bought breathable bumpers back when she was using pacifiers more (to keep her from knocking them behind her crib but hubby didnt' like them b/c he was worried she would get her leg stuck under them so I took them off the other day.

Well, this morning I go to get her out of the crib and she's got one leg stuck in the slats...and this is even with a sleep sack on. Guess they need to go back on...unless someone has better suggestions?

Re: might have to put the bumpers back on

  • No suggestions here.  I'm not sure how it would be possible for her to get her leg stuck under the bumpers, but I guess it depends on how you put them on.  When we put them on, we took the mattress out and put them in so the bottom of the bumper sits below the mattress, so there's no way to get her feet under them.

  • After talking to some friends about, we decided to not put bumpers on despite DS's leg getting stuck occassionally. Getting stuck was a short lived phase at our house, thankfully.

  • Molly was doing that to (getting her legs stuck even w/ the sleep sack on).  We put the breathable bumpers on her crib and so far so good.

We also put the bumper on so that the bottom sits below the mattress.

  • We made the decision to put his back on after he got some nasty bruises from getting his legs stuck. I was confident that he wasn't going to suffocate on them and I was concerned about how bruised his legs would get when they were stuck.
